| Thought I'd share some of the models I've painted over the last year. I'm by no means skilled, but I have fun. First is a couple Tau Firewarriors I painted last fall, one of my first efforts aside from a squad of Space Marines. Next a Mantic Corporation Marine, I've since changed my scheme, much more of a greyscale wash kinda thing. Lastly, my current Tau scheme. It looks messy, I was trying for a more organic look to the soft armor, but it came off as messy. Oh well. I'll throw more images up when I get home, just sharing what I have access to while mobile. Comments and criticism are welcome and appreciated | |

| Having fun is the most important thing about the hobby! But that doesn't mean you've no skills, the models look great! Much better than the most of the models I've seen through the year. My favorite is the Mantic Corporation Marine, great model and nice paint scheme! | |

| Thanks for the kind words. As I mentioned earlier, I changed my design for my Corporation Marines and Rangers. Incidentally, I cannot paint faces so had to order extra bits to be able to avoid the exposed face heads. Marine Rager | |

| Some cool looking models there and the bases are very well done - really finish off the models.

| You all are much too kind. Last pic for today, honest. I'm 2/3rds of the way through a box of Hormagaunts. They're a blast to paint, and I've approached them several different ways. | |

| Everything looks really good. The finishing on the bases really make everything look "finished".
I especially like the mantic models. How are they to assemble? How is the detail?

I especially like the mantic models. How are they to assemble? How is the detail? I like the Mantic range. I'd say detail is above GW, but below FW. They're a resin plastic mix, so you're working with super glue. There's not nearly as much room for easy customization as you have with, say, a box of Cadians, but I think finished product is nicer. Also, as you can see they're not 'heroic' scale, so give a different vibe compared to GW's humans. I've got some of Mantic's Veer-myn, just haven't managed to figure out a non-hideous paint job.
