| Well taking Mordheimer at his word...he is a man of his word, I've open a thread to which Himself has promised to attach my photos of ASTOUNDING MEDIOCRITY taken with The Demonically Possessed Camera of Continual Contrariness to edify & amaze you...or not. LET THE NONSENSE BEGIN!...whenever. Enjoy!

| Love the gobbos... are they on a mushroom-steroid diet? Those are some beefy guys!!! The free-hand moon is awesome! One question... are those 'grey' one statues? What are they for?
Thanks for sharing! | |

| Thanks for putting them up, Amigo! The big Guys are the Ubergoblins...count as Orcs. The grey ones are just primed; I do dry brush of white over a black base. They're all completed plus a second war band now; I've just got to convince The Camera from HELL! to take some photos. | |

| SWEET EMPEROR'S UVULA!!! You mean that what I try DESPERATELY to achieve (statues) is your BASE COATING? I'm this close to fly to Texas and smack you! Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci would not only paint in multiple thin layers of paint (known as his "velature" technique) but that he would paint portraits ANATOMICALLY? I mean... bone, then muscles, then skin. No wonder why your models look so nice. | |

| Thanks for the kind words. I wish I could get better photos of the finished War Band up for you. There's another Goblin...a self portrait...about 1/2 way down this page: http://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/painting-and-modelling-f3/you-in-mordheim-t2347-25.htm . @Librarian: I'd be delighted to answer any "how to" questions you might have...I decided NOT to take my secrets to the grave. | |

| Love the ubergoblins great painting and a fantastic idea . The giant squig in particular looks awesome. Did you model it out of green stuff? I tried the statue basecoating technique and I have no idea how you do it so well(my guy just ended up a patchy grey). Great work they look perfectly evil. | |

Thanks for the kind words; I'm glad you like the Lads. I'm not a fan of combining Orcs & Goblins as a single race; SO...the Ubergoblins fill in for the Orcs in providing some muscle to the gang while keeping up the general silliness that's SO a part of the Goblin persona. The BIG Squig is the handiwork of Dirk Opper, blitz krieg bob from TBMF. He's available from Dirk's on-line store: http://dooddminiatures.blogspot.com/ . On the base coat: make sure the black undercoat is thoroughly dry before you dry brush the white overcoat. I do a diluted black base coat & let it dry for a couple of hours before dry brushing the white. | |

| That was probably it I will remember to let the black coat dry properly next time. These guys put my hurriedly painted night goblins to shame. | |

| @Kiwi: I had a pretty good idea why your stuff was turning out gray...I've done the same thing rushing the white dry brush. If my stuff seems a bit better it's ONLY because I've been doing it LONGER; fear not, keep working at it & you'll leave me in the dust. ANOTHER idea I stole: combining Gnoblar bodies with Night Goblin heads results in some REALLY Weedy Little Psychos. | |

| So they were base coated, they weren't meant to be stealth'ing' hence why they were put in front of the furnace of the same colour My second guess was ghosts, go figure | |
