| BE WARNED: Our Mordheimer will soon be posting photos of the NOW COMPLETED Red Brotherhood U&G War Band. Those with discerning tastes &/or a weak stomachs ARE ADVISED TO GO NO FURTHER IN THIS THREAD!
While we're waiting for himself to run out of better things to do with his time, I'll fill you in on WONDERS you are about to witness: this is the first of two war bands and will follow the "official" Orc & Goblin list with the UberGoblins being "counts-as-Orcs".
The UberGoblins are the product of genetic mutation caused by the consumption of a certain sub-species of Mad Cap Mushroom with a high concentration of Fungeroid. The side effect of this substance causes an increase in size, & muscle mass with a noticeable decrease in common sense, a rare quality in Night Goblins at best [as a banned substance it keeps them from participating in Professional sports such as Blood Bowl, & others that have no edged weapons as a silly rule] . Whereas Orcs generally choose leaders who are great, hulking, muscle bound psychopaths, Night Goblins choose UberGoblin leaders who are cunning, sneaky, drug-crazed, muscle bound psychopaths [in the background Gracy Slick wails out "White Rabbit"]. SO HERE THEY COME, READY OR WHATEVER:

| These guys look ace - are they for the Warhammer Fantasy game, mordheim or something else? I absolutely love the freehand work (all of it) and the close up of the moon, shows the craft that's gone into them. Mr Nala you continue to amaze (insert 'hats off' emoticon when/if such a thing becomes available) and inspire. I've got Mordheim marauders rattling round in my head and I've only just seen these pics! Cheers Laney | |

| While I have done the Bad Moon quite a number of times freehand, I must confess on Mad-As-A-Loon M cGoon, I simply softened the Night Goblin shield device with my Bic, bent it o shape, pressed it gently into the Milliput cowl, then stuck my charred fingers under some cold water prior to painting it. The Red Brothers are a Mordheim War Band...more or less. | |

| THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!! The NMM had me scratching my head at times, it's amazing how you manage to make it so extremely realistic! You put my hurriedly painted warbands to shame. | |

| Thanks for the kind words, Guys...glad you liked them. - edward wrote:

For the organization, I used the basic Orc & Goblin Mordheim rules substituting the UberGoblins for the Orcs. For actual gaming, I was doing a solo thingy using a modified version of the War Band rules from W.D.. - Kiwi wrote:

This may get confusing. In this case the N.M.M. is actually metallic; awhile back one of the Guys I paint for asked that the new stuff I was doing for him be done in regular metallic effects. When I complied with his wish, I found that doing the metallic bits in the same way I did N.M.M. yielded a very nice effect...which is what you see on these minis.
