| There's a product called Rub 'N Buff (available from most craft stores) that I had tried years ago on larger scale minis. It produced a nice effect, but was a bit sloppy to use. | |

| @ Dozer: I'm thinking of making the gun bodies on my IG squad a buff, dull metal look...rather than just painting/drybrushing as I would normally, silver colours onto it
@DeafNala: I've heard of that stuff before, can't say I've seen any over here though...
My last resort is trying a silver drybrush over a grey background...but that's not really the look I was hoping for =S

Exactly. I take it one more step and use a soft bristle toothbrush on it. Gives this effect...

| Ooh. Pretty. What's it look like when you have a squad of them assaulting? (shamelessly fishing for more good pics!) | |

(shamelessly fishing for more good pics!) Twist my arm... They look something like this (same model, completed): With comrades: Sergeant - same effect, with scoring & tarnishing (shoulder pad edges as well): Specifically chose alternate lighting shots, to highlight the difference in appearance vs. harsh florescent.

| I've tried it out & it's not quite come out the same as the Marine...but I think that might be because I didn't do any highlighting...either way, it just about fits the image I had, so thanks Guys! ^^ | |

| haha! Well, I think I'm getting the hang of highlighting...I'm working on Ezekial, the Dark Angels Master Librarian at the moment, alongside my Prisoner...I've really impressed myself with the highlighting I've done on his backpack so far =D | |
