| I finally got a game last weekend . It's taken me a while to finish it but here is the battel report. We decided to try out the voluntary routing rules with a skirmish game for our first game and they seemed to work well. The squads: My catachans: Edwards mordians: Mordheimer wanted pics of him so here they are. Edward got a bit of flak for his backward cap and name "Big red". Any way deployment: "Big red" close up of the mordians deploymet 1st turn Edward won the roll to start first. Mordians: The mordians cautiously advance and Big red seeks higher ground. Catachans: My medic decides discretion is the better part of valor. Catachans all advance the medic into his hiding spot. 2nd turn Mordians: More very slow advancing from the mordians. Catachans: Some more cautious movement from the catachans. A shot from an infantryman in the tower puts a mordian infantryman K.D and the Ogryn unleashes his ripper gun but fails to wound. 3rd turn Mordians: Yet again little movement by the mordians, dismal shooting failures follow. Catachans: More advancing. The ogryn shoots but misses again, the flamer however manages to knock down a lieutenant and an infantryman with the ogryn in charge range. 4th turn Mordians: Mordian accuracy is proven to be an oxymoron. Again not that much movement as most of them were in range. For the shooting an infantryman manages to knock down a sargent. Catachans: Tha flamer comes into its own ! Which makes my ogryn fail his charge. Again some movement. The flamer is unleashed and to edwards despair manages to hit 3 models taking 2 OOA and stunning the remaining one ! The captain shoots and KD an infantryman. The two charges fail leaving my leiutenant and ogryn vunerable. 5th turn Mordians: "Big red's" last turn of shooting A little bit of movement to get into LOS. In their most succesful shooting yet they KD a sargent, wound the ogryn, and put annother KD sargent OOA. Catachans: Several charges take place with the captain charging scarface edwards lsargent?, the ogryn charging the lieutenant that shot him the turn before and a lieutenant charging an infantryman. In the shooting my infantryman concealed in a tower puts "big red" OOA to edwards horror. In close combat my captain butchers scarface with his power fist and my ogryn only manages to KD leiutenant harker. The next turn edward decides to voluntarily rout and the Mordians retreat licking their wounds. Post game Edward: "Big red" survives to live annother day (full recovery) "Scar face" makes a full recovery An infantryman and lieutenant jones aren't so lucky and die from their wounds. Income=3 ER=75 cr Me: My sargent recovers and is now fearless much to edwards annoyance Income=4 ER=90 cr + (market hall;28 cr)=118 cr This is my first attempt at a battle report so any feedback would be appreciated. | |

| Excellent Battle Report. The Ikube stuff is great for picking up a quick battlefield worth of scenery and it looks like a good set up. Both squads also looks really good (it makes such a difference to play with painted forces). Shame that edward lost two of his men (no extra goodies for you! - glad 'big red' survived though), but in every battle you learn something! Great Job - look forward to seeing more! Laney | |

| SUPER COOL!!!!!
1st... thanks for the smilies... I will adopt them!
2nd... the bird's eye view of the field made a GREAT impact on me. Very cool!
3rd... BIG RED DOWN!?!?! I gasped... hehehehe...
Very cool report... it was almost as good as being there (nothing can beat that!) While I'm totally partial to Catachan (they are MY BOYS!!!) and the models are INCREDIBLE, I do not know who to cheer. Big Red is already cool with his backwards hat (YEAY!!!!), but the models are not based (boooo!!) I am still debating who to cheer. I guess we all win!!!
Something that I would like for you to share...
1) Was the game easy to play? I mean.. in terms of game mechanics. Did you had trouble understanding how to do things? Did you had to go to TLRB to figure rules and stuff out?
2) How did you found the Catachans? How did they 'feel' to you? I mean... did their rules make you feel like you are controlling jungle fighters?
3) How about the Mordians? Did they felt like 'organized' troopers?
4) Did the Post-Game felt fun & fair? Hehehe... causing Fear not withstanding!
5) Any rules that seemed odd?
6) Can you fill up the data on Squad Ratings?
Again... thanks for sharing!

| Thanks guys I'm glad you enjoyed it, 02 Laney Yeah Ikube is great for people like me who find absolutely no joy in making terrain hopefully it'll improve with time. Mordheimer The rules were easy enough to understand but the things we had to look up took a long time to do so due to my scroll wheel being uncooperative, so next time I'll have the summary of tables printed off.. The catachans were good I was forced to be sneaky with them to stay out of LOS but I didn't really get to try them out in CC much because of the of doom. It was weird to me that they did better than the Mordians in shooting but that is probably more down to my luck. The post game was fine I was quite lucky and edward less so, but he'll still be able to replenish his squad and if he hadn't lost an officer we would have probably had a more similar income. Most things were fairly straight forward but critical hit tables were quite complicated and a little confusing but again printing them off would help a lot. What type of data do you need? We haven't finished purchasing stuff yet so should I wait? Speaking of basing I have a bone to pick with you, ever since you got me to base my catachans I have been unable to leave my bases black including my 50+ O&G a lot of work for me . :@ edward He was only saved by his cap, next time :smithers: A few questions I have: Does the terrain look okay for a game? Is there anything I should try to add? Could you follow the photos okay? Any ideas for my squad name and that of my leader? I am absolutely useless at naming things, I have had to forbid edward from divulging the name of my medic . | |

| The Ikube stuff is great because it only takes minutes to build! @Kiwi: But you just know that the O&G will look good with all those bases done! (I had a personal bet with myself when I saw edwards mordians (which look ace by the way) that Mordheimer would mention basing - I won! ) Laney | |

| What type of data do you need? We haven't finished purchasing stuff yet so should I wait?As you can see on this link, we are starting to revise the concept for Squad Ratings. As part of this initial effort, there will be TWO Squad Rating formulas to determine the Squad's value. The Basic Squad Rating and the Advanced Squad Rating. They are defined as follows: - Code:
-
BASIC SQUAD RATING = Total Number of Models + Total Squad Experience - Code:
-
ADVANCED SQUAD RATING = Total Number of Models + Total Number of Wounds + Total Squad Experience+ 5 Points per Gained Skills What we need is DATA!!! Since this is your 1st 'official' game of your campaign, it would be SUPER nice if we get those numbers from your group. Go to the thread mentioned above, read the details (1st post) and post your data. As you see, we do not need any information on new gear. Your help will be invaluable. Speaking of basing I have a bone to pick with you, ever since you got me to base my catachans I have been unable to leave my bases black including my 50+ O&G a lot of work for me .HAHAH! That is the problem with knowing what is better for your models. Just like painting... take it easy; a little at a time! Remember to post pics! Besides... I remember certain Master complaining of having nothing to do... Does the terrain look okay for a game? Really cool... I was drawn to the posters! Awesome! Is there anything I should try to add?Hmmm.... Multiple levels? Depending on the Scenario, you may want MORE terrain... so the table (or mat!) is really packed. Could you follow the photos okay?YES!!! It was an action packed game! The cool thing about your pics is that it allows ANYONE to follow your game. Very nice! Any ideas for my squad name and that of my leader? How about James Mckenzie? | |

| Edward "liutenany jones"? Wow isn't your english wonderful . Mordheimer We haven't even bought new henchmen so the squad rating might have to wait. I have finished them , all 50 or so will post pics tomorrow. Now I have nothing I want to do. Yeah only two buildings and 18 I think Ikubes and a few combat storm containers is probably not ideal will have to work on that maybe even get edward to do something . Glad you could understand the pics I couldn't when I was putting it together . Are you psychic? honestly I just heard about him the day before, it's perfect, will have to model a suitable catachanian pet for him, any ideas? what do you think of The Wranglers as a squad name? Franzyland No, someone has access to a school photocopier . cody20 The models or their luck? | |
