| Hi, I've been looking through book and through my own miniatures and found the limited edition 40k Witch Hunter still in its blister. With the character in mind I found the a couple of squads to suit him: IG: the Death korps of Kieg & Lyubuv's Ice guard) and Renegades. The IG squad will be lead by Interrogator Ravion Wolfe and his cadre of acolytes. Interrogator Wolfe(Captain)(55) - Flack Jacket (10), Helmet(10), Boltgun (28) Arbiter Khan(Sergeant)(36) - Maul(5), Combat Shield(12), Auto pistol(13) Scum Khan(Lieutenant)(42) - Autogun(20) Preacher Grim (Sergeant)(36) - Two handed hammer(15), Autpistol(13) Mercenary Captain Victus (Lieutenant)(42) - Autogun (20) Adept Intios (Medic)(32) - Autopistol(13) & Combat knife Cadre + Squad speciality: 502 Recruits: 191 Heavy weapon specialist (36) - Flamer (20) 3x Infantry(75) - Autogun(60) Total: 693 I just noticed how easily the points get spent, but I try to keep in character while keeping the team effective. What do you think of the list? I just bought a box of Cadians and a box of flagellants for this project. I just love the brazier head, more fire the better. I was thinking that Grim would be redemptionist priest.

| I've noticed you've not given your lieutenants much in the way of ranged weaponry. I've found their BS of 4 is invaluable when combined with a longer ranged weapon. They'll give the rest of the squad some breathing space. Goes for the CO, too. Watch him rule with his bolter!
I love the theme. Makes me want to start designing a proper Inq squad!

| True, I was thinking who of the cadre where the most inspiring of them. The scum, the priest, the enforcer or the mercenary captain. I thought the priest might be, but the Death Korp speciality might help there, inspiring them to "fearlessness" instead of boosting the morale same could go to law abiding twin.
As I said earlier I try to capture the feel of the squad. The Interrogator working for an invisible Inquisitor, a spider with his wide web using his cadre to do the physical dirty work.
The twins from the lower hive, one bent the law to use to fight for justice the other broke it for profit and survival.
The redemptionist priest who'll see a hab block burn down to purge a psyker within and provides the squads faithful servants of the emperor.
The Mercenary captain that provides the cadre with arms and armour of the blackmarket as well recruits.
I could see the scum to be the charming/intimidating ganger that gets his with guile and force.

| Good, balanced squad - nice use of counts as to create a characterful inquisition force. Arachas made a good point to emphasise the BS of the lieutenants with ranged weaponry. I would wait until a game or two has passed to give them lasguns with hotshot packs (very mean). Also, helmets are an absolute must early in the game for your officers. Cheers Laney | |

| I'm trying to keep the squad as much wysiwyg as possible. I'm placing an order of 500 1x1mm magnets tomorrow that I'll use for handy arm/weapon swaps while keeping most of the original model. It should be here within a week and I'll start converting most then.
I guess the squad doesn't need much adjustment to be fielded as a renegade squad instead.

| I got my magnets early this week thanks to to the chaos at frankfurt airport. Just haven't found time to convert my models yet. My flamer is nearly ready, just waiting for his left arm and for me to decide on the head. My Arbiter is waiting for a Bretonnian Man at arms shield to be used as his Combat shield. I'm building my force to the point they need greenstuffing and then have a nice day playing with greenstuff. Hopefully it will go well.
Just read the new books and the armoury. Eviscerator(?) a must for the priest in addition to a flamer once he gets the skill.

You do realize your last post in this thread was from 2010, right? Your paints have been renewing for almost two years now?

| 2 years... That's a long time. Other hobbies have take a lot of time. Now I'm in a similar project like our Prisoner exchange, so I will be converting and painting again. The above miniatures need highlighting and details added. Models are converted. I will even paint the models Inquisitorial models I got from Da Bank.
Let's see what paint corresponds with what in the new range or I'll try something new.
