| Here is an Imperial Renegade Squad for Rogue Trader Lucifer Kidd and his ship (a modified Sword Class Frigate) the Fearful Symmetry - changed the name already! Most of the choices for the squad are based on fluff reasons - so aren't really for major changes e.g. no apostate preacher - didn't fit with my vision of the retinue. Also, the Hired Guns may not be economically a good choice - but they make the squad interesting and varied. Anyway here goes...

Final Total: 775 exactly (out of 775) EDIT: Updated 50 credits in redEDIT 2: Autogun (21) and Club (4) spent using the Always Finding Sympathisers Rule Any thoughts? Laney

| Long John Silver: You are correct and I.R. get an extra bonus of 25 credits (you used to start with 700 credits in the older editions - I just forgot to update) - Means I've got 50 more credits to spend - which will be very useful! So I have 775 to spend. Lydor: I thought the same - but in this case I read the rules carefully and it says... - Quote :

On the upkeep costs: I.R. get an extra die in exploration if the commander is not OOA (a risk, I know but should work most of the time), which balances out only having four officers and the Hired Guns don't count to the squad number when getting money for exchangeable resources (so they will get more cash with an officially 'small' squad). I think I can afford the upkeep from the off, if i spend less on consumables (e.g. hotshot packs, grenades etc) and more on permanent, useful items. I'll update the list above with more 'toys'. | So.... where are those 25 extra credits? Note that You have to use it separately, can't add to it credits from base 750 and any unused credits from it are lost... KISS in purest form | |

| Sorry for the double post but I can't seem to edit my previous one...I also notice that your aren't including a stubber for one of your heavies, again could you explain why not? I'm curious to the ins and outs of the IR. | |

| On the stubber - the current v0.6 has the heavy stubber as Rare 3 and no recruits can currently choose any rare items (I will pick it up next game). The preacher doesn't fit my fluff (fluff over winning with this squad) so I've left room for two Lads Got Talent troopers when the time comes. Ta Laney | |

Ta Laney Argh! I forgot about that restriction! ...breaks stubber of model in progress...Ah coolio! Was afraid the preacher might be crap. And I agree with "fluff over winning". Although my upcoming fluff is so good it can fit all models. | |

| No the priest works just fine - I rather wanted the Hired Guns over him though. Maybe I'll recruit him as a 'Savant' for my captain at a later date. I have a cool unpainted model that would work well for him (or maybe one of those grotesques + green stuff). Laney | |

| Yup - grotesques are here - not sure how to use them yet thought! Don't break the stubber model! 'Counts as' for one game and then he's good to go! I'm going to post some fluff soon and apart from a redundant rule regarding rout testing I may be able to fit in a priest a few games in (if I haven't got the LGT roll I'm hoping for). Laney | |
