| In the bottom of the post there is a 2nd tutorial that i think is better than this one. I dont know the words to make a good tutorial, but i think the pics will be enought The metalic thing is from a coke can. Press to make the shape. Glue it. Draw and cut the circle of top and the botton and glue them. Thats all. Dedicate to the "Most barrles Fan", Mordheimer

| Ive tryed to do the barrels today, and i find some problems. 1.- Coke can dont works .... its too hard, i try with a tin sheet and it works much better and allow easy battle damage). 2.- Its more easy work with a GW barrel as model than make your own model. Lest try the tutorial: 1.- Cut the tin sheet with the high of the GW barrel (lenght dont matter, latter we will cut it) 2.- Put it around the GW barrel 3.- Cut the extra sheet to adjust the lenght. Push the tin against the barrel, pushing with your finger and nails?? around the "hills" of the barrel, finally it must look like this (the GW barrel is still in) 4.-Glue the edges of the tin together and take out the gw barrel. Cut some "kitchen paper" and put it into the barrel as you can see in the next pic (that will help to place the top and the booton of the barrel) 5.- Cut the circles of the top and the botton of the barrel from a plastic sheet (or anything else). Put them in their places and glue them (you can fill the gaps with gs, plastiline, or others...). 6.- Cut a small piece of a pen ink tube and glue it on the top of the barrel And thats all: Some pics (only painted with a silver spray, they need some work) | |

| Wow! Your method is even better! Where did you get the tin sheet? A DIY story? | |

| Its hard to find, and expensive :-(. I asked in a couple of small DIY stores and havent, maybe in a bigger one??. In one of the DIY send me to a hobby store (not our hobby, dont know the name in english), and they have it (Its used by artist, modelers and in other hobbyes). It cost me 7 € a sheet of 25x50 cm, thats a lot of drums , but ive seen it could be used for lot of things. In case you dont find it, in the top of wine bottles (covering the neck and the top of the bottle) you can find something similar. (i havent ryed with that) | |

| Looks great - definitely going to try this (my little boy has some barrels just the right size and I haven't the heart to take them for scenery!). How did you do the top and cap for the barrel? Keep them coming! Laney | |

Laney I cut it from a plastic sheet ( its the harder work since it must fit exactly), if you find a easy way to do it tell me :-) | |
