| So, someone wanted to see some pics. I don't have much of W40k minis so far, as I bought the Eldar battleforce a year ago and pretty much ended at that point (well, I assebled most of it and painted some Avengers and Guardians but thats it). But I am collecting, painting, converting and battling with Lizardmen from WHFB for five years or so... But you don't want to read loads of crap, you want to see pictures, right... Well here it comes... I hope it can be called "tabletop" quality The most recently painted Slann... The blue "lightnings" were sort of an accident, which came out quite nice: Original inspiration for Slann color scheme was this frog: And this is one of my first conversions - Sauri Musician with horn (because everyone has drums ) Thats for the start. Some more later. Stay tuned if you like my work | |

| Very cool! My only suggestion (for future models) is trying experimenting a blue wash over the blue skin. I think it will give depth, so you can see the scales and muscle. You may have to dry-brush over it (after it dryes) with blue to get another level of detail... but as the models are now, they are nice! I particularly like that big Slann. | |

I particularly like that big Slann. Actually, I am using washes. But the musician is from one really old batch He's going to get repainted (together with rest of the unit) when I finish my Temple Guard (I came up with another color scheme, which looks better IMO).

| PRETTY COOL STUFF! The color choices on the Big Guy are pretty dramatic...I like what you did with the mini. I may be starting again on a Lizard Lad commission; SO keep posting...I could use some ideas. | |

| Lazi: Cool! Let us know when the update happens. I think the washes will fix the issue VERY easily! DeafNala: You are painting some lagartijos (lizards)? COOL! Here is MORE inspiration (I used to do this when I was a kid all the time... | |

| Here are some of my converted skinks. Pics are not actual, but I am too lazy (yes, lazy Lazi ) to open the box where I keep my lizzies right now and take new pics. But you can still see the conversions made on these. (This guy has a different stone to jump from now.) (This picture shows actual state of the mini (which is pretty sad )) (This one is already painted. It was my first converted skink - and by converting I mean cutting legs and drilling pin-holes ) (This one went through few more painting session, so he is almost completely finished... But I have to make some weapon for him. I was thinking about some scythe or sicle shaped weapon.) | |

| The last one is my favorite! Super action packed pose! I think that a scythe or a sickle would be perfect. With the pose, you immediately think of the momentum it has and the height is right at neck level. SWOOOSH... CHOP... PLUMP! Hehehehe Man... after this post I'm oonna go and work some more on the Arbites and then paint me some Orks! BTW, I make LOTS of spelling mistakes too... the weapon is spelled "sic kle" I actually have an English (as well as Spanish) dictionary/spell-checker plug-in on Firefox. I write everything really fast and then I see those evil wiggly lines on my spelling errors horrors. For example, I just realized I spelled "immedietly" wrong. With a right click over the word I can see the correct spelling (or even add words like 'Manofactorium'). BEFORE I fix the word, I tend to see why it is misspelled... eventually I learn the word. Tricky words like 'die' as the singular for 'dice' and 'maybe' versus 'may be' still slip by, but I do try. Arachas LOVES to remind me !! Hehehe... he helps me a lot. Ohh... btw, it is spelled "immediately"! | |

| Maxxev: Oh, I like this one. I think I've seen it before (or something similar). I was think of making sci-fi lizards (thanks to images like yours) as it is not so usual sight. And to patience: I converted these for to be stand-ins for Chameleon Skinks which have quite weird models... you know, they are nice, but too static (I mean really very very static!)... And as I play lizards, its much easier to be patient. Plus so many skinks got through my finger before that, so it was actually real fun to "deform" them a little once (ehm... four times ). Mordheimer: Yes, the last one (he is not just last one in pictures, but he is also "youngest" of the four) is also my favourite. But I really like the crounching one too (you know, he was the first you will always love the first one ). And thank for correcting me. I usualy don't have problems with spelling (except some double letters as in usualy... in this word I am tempted to write double L). But grammar and proper use of tenses is different thing... I am trying to write intuitively (is there single "L"?) and it often works... But then I write another sentence full of mistakes... And it seem my keyboard is my enemy as well Both in English and Czech... It just ingnores my orders sometimes... I am thinking of putting it to court marshal Thank you both for kind words, it always encourages me to do more... I just wish I was better painter.. As for example this guy: neveroddoreven, 'cause his work is really INSANE!!! | |

It's entirely possible, most of the 40k conversions I did were back when I was still playing them game (back in 4th edition) so they are YEARS old now, been around on the internet for many years. This guy was actually converted for a race I was developing for when I was working on a supplement for Necromunda to allow various different races to play. I called them "The Ichar" (for no particular reason other than I thought it sounded cool). Anyway. Keep up the cool conversions and I've seen the chameleon skinks. These are better .
