| I just drybrushed the wood and realized that it really is nearly finished. Just some rust to add, varnish, and snow. And I need to repaint some of the black on the base. It came off a bit when I removed the masking tape... Here's to you! These are the last pictures of the whole diorama that I will post until the final model is received by Mordheimer. Hopefully the post will be as fast as last time (only 3 days!). I've got the objectives nearly finished too and I'll add some pictures of them shortly. | |

| WOW! This thing is INSANE! I though it was done like 4 billion pics ago. Every time I think is done, that NOTHING could be done to improve it... BOOM! Better model than ever! The lenses are just a crime against all hobbyist. Beyond inspiration... it shows me what I can't do! HA! Thanks for the pics! | |

| Thanks Mord and DaBank.
The lenses were easy to do. Black base, thin line of grey at the bottom, washed with badab black, and a tiny dot of white at the top. The black base made it easy to correct the errors. It really brings some life to the eyes.
What do you think of the bottle? I tried to make it look like you can see the level of the liquid.

| Laney-Thanks. I am always inspired by your work. Your approval means a lot. Mord-It's almost done. I am hoping to post it by the original May 26th deadline. Hahaha. I'm not sure if this final model would be the same if I had not drawn it out so long. I've put so many ideas and new techniques and things into this model. I can't just sit down and do everything at once. Here are the demolition tokens for use in the game. I was pretty pumped about making them then discovered Mord had made a set himself in an old thread with a catachan squad. Oh well. Here are the finished counters. I think varnishing will tone the rust down a bit (which is a good thing!). Three mines. One with some meat on it to attract carnivores. Bomb activated by satellite, dynamite with trip wire, and gas tank bomb. I did the rust using secrect weapon terracotta earth and rust orange pigments. The terracotta earth is like the devlan mud of pigments. It greatly improves the rust look. Very easy to use. | |

| Thanks everyone. I've been really trying to push my skills and detail level with this model. I'm glad you like it.
Devo88-It must be the imperial renegades bulging eyes mutation...
Mordheimer-The project is about 30 minutes from full completion. I am just varnishing it now. Would you like me to post finished pictures now or wait until you receive the prisoner before I post them on here. It is up to you.
EDIT: The project is finished!!!!! Mordheimer, if you give me permission then I will post final pictures of the diorama. If you would rather wait until you receive it then that is fine too. Just let me know what you would prefer.

| Mordheimer, I am definitely planning to post it to you. Most of the joy is in building the model for me anyways. It is a great feeling to be building a model for someone else. I have really enjoyed the process (although it is a lot of pressure!). Here is the finished model. I have varnished it Mord, so it should be pretty durable. The only part that is not sealed is the snow (but it is glued on) and I added some pigments to the pipes and flat metal sheet and dynamite on the main base after varnishing. Be careful with the lines of rust coming down from the pipes. I have lots of pictures. I will upload a few more once I can edit them this evening. Here are a few for now. Comes with a full set of accessories including autogun, knife, pistol, and boltgun. Also comes complete with six trap markers for fun for the whole family. Comments, constructive criticism, and feedback appreciated as always. Thanks for all of the comments. The supportive and demanding (:-P) forum has really pushed me to produce the best model I am capable of at this time. Thank you for all of the support! | |
