Or should I wait to see who I'll be sending to and check their preferences? You could wait... but you do NOT have to sent what the person assigned to you would prefer. Be creative... if they want Orks, send them an Eldar! Make friends and influence people!

| I am a little behind due to issues at work (Governor Patterson is being a pain) and in my side practice (I have about three times the normal political web work I normally do in a midterm election year - lots of insurgent candidates) so I admit, I have only primed my guy. I don't expect to get much done this week either (Jewish holiday in the middle of the week) but G-d willing I will sit down and paint him up on Sunday assuming no other emergencies fall in my lap. | |

| OK. Everyone has been sent a PM regarding to who they have been assigned to sent their prisoner! If anyone do NOT know who are they supposed to send their Prisoner, check you "Private Messages"... the 7th button on the top bar (conveniently named labeled PM), left of the "Log Out" button! | |

| Thank you everyone for participating on this Event! Remember to take pictures (if you can) of your Prisoner before shipping him this weekend (best you can) and wait in anticipation for the arrival of the new addition. Feel free to start a NEW thread about your Prisoner on the Painting & Modeling to showcase your model's WiP and Final pictures! Please make the thread topic: - Code:

Prisoner Exchange: {Piece Name} by {Your Alias} You may (or not) reveal who you are sending the Prisoner to... but I rather the recipient to post his comments and reactions when he receives it.

| Well I'm guilty of not shipping too. I'm so nearly finished. I'd been planning on getting him done before the weekend but a couple of days illness put rest to that. Anywho... I've done a bit more tonight and I'm really getting there. All I need to do is sort out the actual base of the model, it's now 2:30 am so unfortunately it looks like I won't be posting until monday morning. I hope the receiver can forgive me. I'll try to find something to sweeten the deal | |

| Putting mine in the mail right now. This was a lot of fun... we should do it again Xmas time. That we have a summer and a winter contest. | |

| Oh, come on DeafNala! Any of your models - even the one you consider your worst - would still be more than awesome! | |

This was a lot of fun... we should do it again Xmas time. That we have a summer and a winter contest. If we kicked off something now-ish, we could have a whole "Christmas in July" theme going... get everything planned and modeled over the summer, painted in the fall, and posted by November. Everyone could have their "Prisoner" by Christmas. Heck, make the holidays part of the theme! Slaaneeshi Claus, Hanukkah Marines, Thanksgiving Squigs, evil looking cybercherubs with banner that read "Happy New Year 999.M41."

| @Librarian: Please take any of my self deprecating remarks as facetious statements that were meant as a lame form of humor...mostly . The MOST USEFUL thing I learned about painting came from the VERY WORST painter I ever met. Wayne reached the ABSOLUTE heights of mediocrity with pieces SO HORRENDOUSLY AWFUL that they had a surrealistic quality about them...we were all convinced he had a stygmatism. HOWEVER, Wayne LOVED his stuff; this is an attitude I've tried to develop about my own work with varying degrees of success. The point is not to judge my work by what others can do or what they may think about my stuff, but to appreciate the pieces as examples of the best I can do. Being philosophical I believe is YET ANOTHER sign of imminent senility. | |

| I got my prisoner today! Sent from Way-of-the-Warrior, all the way from the UK. It's a sweet looking model I know he really worked hard on. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I stop dieing from heat stroke.
Thanks WotW! Looks great.
