What are those IG tanks... the last one looks MEAN! Yeah. You wouldn't want to have a malfunction during fire on one of those puppies. I guess that's what prisoners are for; Comissar w/Voxcaster: "DISARM!" Prisoner: [Touches the rocket] *BOOOOOM* Comissar w/Voxcaster: "By the Emperor! When I find You, I will shoot You for treason!"

| The way GW rules are lately i am sure you can deep strike with the freakin missile launching platform and it will cause ANY model within 6 inches to take a leadership test and if failed it is an automatic win for the opposing team. LOL | |

| I've got to get those big rockets - they are too cool (Manticore and Deathstrike Missile Launcher). They might even make me think about IG before the Blood Angels (though I can't afford either at the minute!).

| Hah. I agree! The looks of those launchers (-the rockets, more exactly) are pretty cool, but imo, GW is going a bit overboard. -For the last years too... When I came out of hibernation, and surfed GW to find news about new models, I noticed amongst other things that The Blood Angels Retinue have all wings? WINGS?!Once upon the time the Sergeants was turned into Veterans, then all were veterans all of the sudden, then the veteran squads were turned into bad ass veteran squads, then we got vanguards. What next? Bad-ass-veteran vanguards? Oh, oh. Of course the same with the scouts. All of the sudden is the sergeant running around in a power armour. It is getting difficult to keep up. I find it puzzling that they make models of rockets so big that the template dwarfs in comparison. If the IG paint them red too, they won't have to worry about any Orks any more. They will flee in panic! | |

| Ohhh... and the Blood Angel LANDRAIDERS deepstriking from the sky? Don't get me started. I officially retired from 40k. I play only with my closest friends, to get a laugh once in a blue moon. Death Squads for me... maybe I start with Battletech or Warmachine... but no 40k for me. | |

| I think the principal of the blood angel deep strike land raider is, that there is a spaceship (huge cant remember name) above the planet and the land raider is made of special material that allows it to go through space and not go up in flames (like a drop pod), but yet i feel GW are trying to do to much at the moment and need to let gamers find the faults and for them to just act upon them.

| You're thinking of the Thunderhawk Transporter, which is an Apocalypse unit (a hugely abusive power gamers game - as cool as some of the models are). I love elements of the Blood Angel codex (mostly fluff and the models) - but deepstriking landraiders without having to pay the cost for the transporter is just silly (which for a normal 40k game is of course prohibitive - as it should be!). The new forgeworld land raider kit (the Achilles) is just too cool though! Laney | |

| Any person with half a sense that plays 40k could make a list from the Blood Angels dex that would make the designer cry.........
I too have given up playing 40k, and since the cost to play a single game here is $5 per person...... it doesn't exactly endear itself to me to be willing to pay that and then play against that.
If anything, the most balanced codex is the new Guard codex, as it can play just about any play style. It does not however have instant win units, which I find extremely refreshing.
What will truly interest me is to see what they do with the new Inquisition codex. Supposidly its moving from pure Inquisition standpoint, to a more marine codex (grey knights to be specific) with Inquisition elements. That to me, is just a disgrace. The Inquisition is so rich in fluff and character, and that if the rumors are even half true, then that means GW has butchered another portion of its background. What would be really great to see is options for having specific philosophical thought for your Inquisitor, whether it is a puranitical Thorianism, or a radical Xanthism.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with none the less

| As you say the inquisition is such a large body of lore for the 40k world that it makes little sense to make another marine codex (especially as they should revamp dark angels - again I'm thinking models here). I liked the route they had taken with Daemonhunters, Witchhunters etc. They needed to finish the job (Ordo Xenos) and make each codex balanced against the others. This would mean (if done right), players could have their marine dex if they wanted, but players who actually appreciate the 40k world could have a true inquisition force. A Grey Knights army seems to be very anti-fluffy compared to what I've read in the Grey Knights novels - they work is small units and this would work brilliantly. This would be a 'lets sell models' venture (plastic grey knights). Those models in plastic and reasonably priced would sell loads anyway. An appropriate Inquisition fan dex will come out to counter this soon enough if it happens - I'll just build my army from that instead (I never play in tournaments anyway - I'd get destroyed even with the Blood Angels). And of course there is always that last bastion of true 40k hope... . The Inquisition will be huge and fluffy when it gets done (I feel sure of that). So many options. Laney | |

| lol, Laney, think about it: let's suppose we end up with 5-man Space Marine squads in DS. How many Grey Knights would that be? Two? Three? DoZer, I personally feel the IG codex is a disaster. That is, it's surely refreshing to inspire fear into the foes of the Imperium once more (Prius and I used to be the laughing stock of the group with our IG armies). The thing is that it's swung the other way: overpowering. There's really no need to field regular squads, because Veteran Squads (with THREE special weapons!) can be put into a Valkyrie and dropped anywhere on the board. Times 6, or 7, and you've got a cheesy list that will prolly only struggle against Blood Angels. Speaking of the BA, I can't wait to build a very, very cheesy list around those baddies. I got some friends that need a pounding. And wtf is up with paying 5 bucks to PLAY a game? | |

| Arachas: I wasn't clear - Grey Knights are normal 40k all the way (I'd probably just buy the models for a regular space marine squad - as I love them - even in metal). No - I love the inquisition proper (very grimdark and creative throughout) - that is all the way! On the BA list - just because it can be cheesy - doesn't mean it should be (I am an anti power gamer!) Laney | |

| I think doing those Squads with "impossible armies", like the Adeptus Arbites, Adeptus Mechanicus, Genestealer Cult, Inquisitotial Retinue, etc is where will really shine.... one day! I got emotional... | |
