| Thanks, Guys! A bizarre sense of humor & a strong sense of the absurd are the foundations for my work...mostly. I may be posting stuff soon in the 40K section. An erstwhile acquaintance/customer has requested a Grey Knights Army commission. I had done a 5,000 point Black Templar Army for him a number of years ago. Since then, he's started me off on a few other "armies" that he lost interest in before completion; SO this is an iffy proposition. | |

I found an interesting interview on Tabletop Geeks was done in 2009 but still a great read, and gives insight into an amazing man..... its amazing what you can stumble onto when you go off on a tangent. Obviously DeafNalaa your WH40k stuff will be as amazing as your Mordheim/WHFB range is. LGW BTW: your name is COOL!!!!!! come on we share it and its spelt correctly as well.

| Thanks LGW! I have some things already in the 40K section, if you'd like a preview. The Nom de Forum is all my friend, Captain John's, fault; he started referring to his Dwarf Persona as Nhoj Reppelk, which is simply the reverse spelling of his name. SO For a similar Vertically Challenged handle I reversed my first name & added Deaf because I am...deaf that is. Fascinating tale, eh!? | |

| I have the feeling that together we could get into a LOT of trouble...of course, it would be worth it...mostly. AND while I'm at it, here are some Vertically Challenges Rogues: Compo Heap, Dwarven Fertilizer Wizard: Felstiff Fate Keeper: & Friends: The Dread Shootist, Johann Ringo: Gazoola The Great, Halfling Arsonist: The (In)Famous MarksGoblin, Bwana Batseye & his Trusty(?) Sidekick, Beastly Burden Note: they insisted that they were cool & short &, as such, should be included here. Comments, critiques, & lavish gifts, as always, are MOST WELCOME. | |

| Brilliantly quirky! Love the candles - very cool effect (did you use GS?). What's your recipe for the stone (start to finish) - I need a good non-grey grey stone adn that is perfect! Laney | |

| Thanks, Guys...glad you liked the stuff. @Laney: the candles are for the most part G.S. with hot glue or epoxy paste flames. The big Yellow Ones are mostly bamboo skewers that I had used for stirring paint; the paint build-up looked like a candle to moi. The tree/stone color of a base coat of 1/3black=2/3Bitter Sweet Chocolate[dark brown] then progressively lighter dry-brushes of the B.S.C.+Desert Sand. The colors are Americana; I'll try to find similar G.W. & Vallejo colors next time I'm in Austin. @Arachas: I'm on Social Security Disability. | |

| Deaf... your 'blanks' (the drybrush stuff) is at a better level than what I dream off. *sigh* Let me not even start with the actual painting! HA!
Excellent candles. I looked at the pics and thought "Wow! Those are some amazing candles! I wonder if anyone saw them?" Then I read Laney's post... HA! I'm such a dork! Thanks for sharing your art. It is AMAZING!

| Thanks, Amigo! I finished two more pieces, which should complete The Circle; SO I should have some astoundingly mediocre photos up later today or tomorrow. | |

| AND NOW as I threatened, YET MORE TRULY MEDIOCRE PHOTOS of my latest venture into Loony Land. These two pieces should complete The Circle of Stoned Hedge...ther's one remaining large piece that will fit outside The Circle; then on to the Witches' Digs, a Tower of Spookiness, Denizens et al. SO here we go...so to speak: The Center Piece of Work: The Guys on the Edge: AND an overview: As always comments & critiques would be adored...pretty much.

| WOW! I was wondering why I felt this chilling howling wind... then I realized the CANDLES!!! Because of the wavering flames, it 'appears' like there is a wind. Since my mind is looking for spookiness, I can 'feel' it. WOW!
Great job! I can't wait to see the table!

To be honest I hadn't thought about it until now, but it all fits: The candles flickering in a chill wind. Ethereal voices carried in the breeze that play on the edges of hearing. It's all part of the Horror mystique. - Mordheimer wrote:

Thanks, Amigo! Now that Baseball Season is coming to an end The Project should gain momentum... SO you can expect more updates. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

| Thanks, Laney...glad you like the stuff! The white thingy is an Armorcast Steampunk Mushroom Observatory; I got that awhile ago with the Mushroom Furnace. Here's a link to the site: http://armorcast.com/store/index.php?cPath=119_63 AND their pic: | |

| That is awesome - can't wait to see your version all painted up! I've never bought anything from Armorcast, but they have some very nice cinematic effects that might tempt me into a purchase. Laney | |

| I've always been pleased with the pieces I've received from Armorcast; HOWEVER, they can be a bit slow at times getting out their orders & they're not especially responsive to e-mails. Caveat emptor, eh?! While I'm at it, here are the last of The Edge pieces: Looking down into the Master Tree from a bat's perspective: The Long & The Short of It: Can you spot the second eye? Other views of The Short: Closeups of The Tall, aka The Master Tree (only to himself): Van Halfling volunteered to stand between the two for a size comparison; to the top of the flame he's 2 3/4" or 69mm tall: Comments & critique, as always are WILDLY APPRECIATED. That wraps up the W.I.P. pieces. Now on to the Witches' Hut with a trio of Witchy Women, AND drakkol's FANTASTIC Jareth & Hoggle minis.
