| Thanks, Lazi...glad you like them. I'd agree that they do reach a new level of pure creepiness. I just finished basing them up; & I have the Malignant Seven as basing-in-progress pieces. I'll put up a Group Portrait once they're done. | |

| The mushroom house is really cool (as is all of it!). There would be some crazy games with that terrain! | |

| Thanks, Narcissus! Hopefully once I get the painting done & the scaffolding & walkways in place, some gaming can commence. That would still leave a few buildings to be done plus The Spooky Woods & Swamp pieces. | |

| Now that the more active Mushroom Lads are all based up, they demanded new photos...really. SO here they are wandering around Town...& Country. The Twisted Two in Maudeheim: AND The Malignant Seven: AND some shenanigans at Heep's Place: Comments & critiques are as always most welcome...mostly. | |

| They are all creepy, but the one with the hand coming out of its mouth is really creepy! Good work. | |

| Compo Heeps's Bat Poop Farm, Mushroom Distillery, & (In)Famously Popular Drinking Establishment is, aside from the never ending embellishments, FINISHED! In keeping with this MOMENTOUS EVENT, The Illustrious Entrepreneur, Compo Heep, conduct a Personal Tour...keeping up wind is advisable: From a distance: The Doorman: Ascending the entry stairs(ladder): To the Main Entrance: A Variety of Mushroom (idea "borrowed" from Fanticide): The Upper Level: And Roof: In the Caves: By the Bat Cave of Endless Soil Enrichment: As always your kind commentary is requested. | |

| Looking Great, Deafnala!
Is the piece meant to go in the corner of the board, line up with other things or is the back and side finished as well?
The little details are great, love the rivets on the chimney. I wish I was making a tenth of the progress you do.
Thanks for the inspiration! | |

| Thanks, rhuntar! This will be the end piece of a long, narrow gaming board. The next sections will be square & comprise The Spooky Wood & Graveyard; then a shore piece followed by the islets. | |

| Thanks, Narcissus! Other than the small ones or those that were done for other Folks, I sometimes wonder if any terrain board is actually ever completed. There always seems to be some little thing to add. | |

| It's been awhile & I've made some progress on the Spooky Woods board adjoining Heep's Place. SO here's how things are coming along: The Overview with Heep's Place to the left: A Vultures eye view: As always, your kind comments & critiques are welcome...kind of. | |

| I'm loving the huge, natural looking trees. How did you do the cobbles? | |

| Looks great indeed! My guess you did the cobbles by carving in blue foam, am I right? | |

| OOPS! I totally missed all of your kind comments...normally I get a notification of a reply (that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it). SO a much-belated-but-heart-felt THANK YOU one & all! The cobbles were indeed drawn on with a good old #2 pencil. I have a 1/4" top layer of pink foam which is denser than the locally available blue foam...R6 vs R4. With some of the stones I do an angle cut after the drawing to get a sunken effect. The cobble going up the hill are plumbers epoxy. AND NOW AN UPDATE:The first of a couple of Spooky Woods Boards is mostly done...there's always something to add. OH BABY!To celebrate the Joyous Occasion, HERE FOR YOUR EDIFICATION & ENTERTAINMENT ARE A GALLERY OF TRULY MEDIOCRE PHOTOS OF NO PARTICULAR ARTISTIC WORTH: Combo Heep was here just a moment ago to show you around...Oh Well: The Long View: It's a Long, Long Road... Some Vulture Views: Tomorrow, unless you object strenuously enough, I'll try to post some closeups. In the interim, your kind commentary is once more requested. | |
