I think you're going to win this one hands down. Old Captain John, who I share the house with, probably isn't up to gaming anymore...he's the last person I faced across a gaming table other than AD&D; & that was well over thirty years ago. The nearest game store(s) are in Austin (60 miles away) & they don't have open gaming. SO...I concede the gaming part of the challenge.
Glad you liked the Pumpkin Heads..the Gang will probably top off at 8 minis. Then I have a bunch of West Wind Gothic Horror minis to add to the Spook Woods.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to try! Hehe... talk to John... aim high... accept the challenge.... do it for honor... think of the starving children... think of MY models! What will be the motivation for me? You have to play in your table... THINK of our collective envy! heheheh

Hahaha... man! I tell you... I'm my own worse enemy! HA! I'm working on statistics and probabilities for the D10 System. I need to justify the proposal to the other Developers. Once we agree that something could be done (and how), then the Contributors will get a chance to rip it apart. So... WHO knows ho will win this challenge! My money still on you... HA!
What are you planing?

I'm decorating The Tree now; the Mushrooms Carolers are primed & ready to be glued onto the base, & the Choir Master has taken up his position to lead the Lads(?) in song. In other words, I should be putting up some W.I.P. photos sometime soon if you haven't been naughty...I guess we can hang that one up .

As threatened, erm...promised, & in keeping with the Season, I started on the Mushroom Carolers of The Spooky Woods. Here's the Guy in progress:

HAHAH! This is insane! I guess they don't have to HOLD any candles... they are WEARING them! Hehehehe.
Question... how you made or what you used for the giant balls? I imagine they will be some kind of Xmas Tree Decorations?

Thanks, Mord...I'm glad you appreciate the insanity involved. The soon-to-be-painted Christmas Ornaments are wooden balls & eye rings from Michael's; the smaller ones are jewelry beads & eye hooks. The Goblins arm's are from G.W's. Zombie Box & the lantern is from the Mordheim sprue...the scroll is home grown.

In keeping with the Spirit of the Season...although not necessarily the Christmas Season...with some trepidation I present the now finished Carolers:
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This is better that christmas presents! I just like to start from page one from time to time, and watch a tale of greatness and creepieness unfold before my eyes. As always, I am stunned by the sculpture-skills you have. Just great.

AND two completed:
PLUS the obligatory Group Shot:
As always, your commentary would be GREATLY appreciated.

Wow, I havn't been on this thread and coming back to it blew me away, its like everything you put your mind to turns into modelling gold. My favourite pumpkin guy is the one with the musket/blunderbuss thing, he looks truly evil and the painting on the gun is great. Plus I loved the carolers, a truly inspired idea.

There's just such an amazing coherency in your terrain and models! I'm struggling with words - really! Your style is ... missing the proper wording... so consistant, I think. Hope you understand.

Thanks, Komfritten! I guess the consistency comes from habits formed over SO MANY years of doing this stuff...it's the stuck-in-a-rut syndrome.
While I'm at it here's the last (maybe) of the League of Pumpkinheads ready for some paint:

I be a headless goat! Those are phenomenal! Congrats Deaf... yet another set of magnificent models. Yes... you are consistently AWESOME!
On the new model... do I see some mold-lines? Specifically on the right arm. I know that the way you paint those get camouflaged quickly, but just to say something constructive. WHAT?!?! Is not like I can say much!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful art!

Thanks, Mord, for the kind words...& I got the mold line. Normally they show up on the finished minis when their removal justifies a colorful expression or two.

I made some small progress on Heep's Place...added another cave. SO I figured I'd inflict them on you to keep the thread alive:
The "new" cave is on the right:
Interior view:
The plan is to have Heep's Establishment sprawled across the top & sides of the newer cave.
AND, a day later, the next of the Pumkinheads:
As always your commentary is MOST WELCOME...mostly.

AND NOW the new Kid on the Block...in a manner of speaking:
The Pistol Packing Pumpkin:
At the rick of being repetitious, your comment, critiques, & offers of monetary rewards would be GREATLY appreciated...especially the latter bit.

I ran out of superlatives for this stuff months ago - but keep it coming! The colour scheme on this last guy has inspired me on a difficult colour choice of my own.
Great work

I love the subtle checkered pattern. It shows how you REALLY mastered brush control. No cheating using pens for you... AMAZING! I don't like the pumpkin head (the sculpt) that much because it looks 'sleepy'... yawn! Heheheh... the painting and other modeling is superb!
Thanks man... amazing work. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see The Cave of Wonders!
