| SO as threatened, here are a couple TRULY MEDIOCRE photos of the ever suave & debonaire Seedy Jon Apfel: That should give you a rough idea what Himself looks like...sort of. Comments & critique are most welcome...for the most part. | |

| This is a quick peak at The Graveyard Tree & what may be the next board. Once more the photos leave a lot to be desired, but the general idea is conveyed fairly well. Future posting will be in more detail if not in greater photographic elegance. SO... The Tree: With Seedy Jon for size comparison: AND Seedy Jon...you don't argue with The Man & his knife: I decided to rework the pieces from the Maudeheim Board onto smaller boards (ones that could fit through the door). I'm experimenting with a Smuggler's Cove, one with that Mordheim feel: Your comments & critiques would be appreciated...especially your thoughts on the new board. | |

| The new board looks good, even in its early stages! Loving the work that's done throughout the thread.
You know, I really want to game on one of DeafNala's tables!

| Thanks, Matt! I'm glad you like the stuff. I'm rather hoping to get in a game or two myself...unlikely as that may be. | |

| The way I normally go about things is to make a base for a mini, mount the mini on the base, AND then prime/paint. This formula went fine right through the mount mini stage. It was then I discovered the mini was too maxi to work on the base...I mounted the maxi mini on a lower, sturdier base. HOWEVER, since I thought the base was cool, I continued to work on it while I mulled over a possible mini to mount. Well...I'm still mulling, but the base is done. SO I thought I'd show you where we stand thus far: From the top: getting closer: & closer still: For the curious in the group, this is the maxi mini. I planning to add a sign to the base like the one to the left...it's there for reference/inspiration: For The Base, I'm thinking of either adding L.A.M's Shakespeare (a Bard with book & lance mounted on a Pig sporting a fez) & entourage, or a Freilancer with Squire a la Don Quixote. The possibility of having to make another similar base seems to becoming more imminent. As usual your comments would be most welcome...for the most part. | |

| The orange on those toadstools on that base really pops against the mauve/purple - really catches the eye. Did you intend to make the tree element look like some kind of camouflaged animal or is that just me? (I can see nostrils, eyes, hint of a mouth, maybe ready to strike). Out of interest what paint do you typically use. Cheers for the inspiration as always! Laney | |

| Thanks for the kind replies, Guys! Mord, your photos don't show up...bummer, you always find the coolest pics. - Laney wrote:

Laney The tree is another Pecan twig; the shape is naturally sinister with lots of little holes & indentations to suggest an evil nature...the eyes just seem to fit perfectly with the Beasty. The spots on the mushrooms was an idea I got from the Fantacide Gore Mushrooms: http://www.architectsofwar.com/fanticidegorecapmushrooms6.aspx I use Americana, Folk Art, & Ceramcoat paints with some Dr.Ph Martin water colors & Daler Rowney Acrylic Inks for washes. The base is done exclusively in Americana...I can give you links to UK distributors if your interested: Where to Purchase - Distributors United Kingdom Country Love Crafts Address: Unit 37D Milton Park Abingdon, Oxon United Kingdom, OX14 4RT Phone: 44-1235-861700 Fax: 44-1235-861900 E-Mail: sales@countrylovecrafts.co.uk Web Site: www.countrylovecrafts.com & www.countryloveceramics.com ARTSTAT Address: Creative Hse Tilson Rd Roundthorn Ind Estate Manchester United Kingdom, M23 9WR Phone: 44-161-902-3800 E-Mail: action@artstat.co.uk TrimCraft, Ltd. | SO here's a better view of Mongo & Babe to allay any misgivings about what they are about: AND some of the Resurrected Mushroom Guys formerly inhabiting the Maudeheim Board: I'm now planning on making a small two sided puppet stage for doing photos of minis with one side being an Underground Scene & the other a Spooky Woods Setting. The newly touched up Mushrooms should figure large in both. Comment are as is my wont requested.

| SO, distracted ONCE MORE, I made some Sentient Stalagmites for the Puppet Stage &/or The Catacombs. I'll probably base these Guys up as removable pieces along with some normal types. In the interim here are the Rocky Horrors: The back of the Tall One on the right: Comments as always would be appreciated...go ahead & make my day! | |

| Thanks for the reaction, Gatlag! The Faces have become a mild & not unpleasant obsession. Fortunately it fits well with what I have envisioned for my Little World. | |

| After yet another diversion, I've returned to The Graveyard...craftwise that is...with the addition of two more Crypts: The final(?) resting places of Father Frickle, the lecherous Priest, & the Dread Demento, Necromancer most Foul: The interior of Demento's Crypt: The side of the much maligned Father Frickle's Crypt, I've yet to decide on interior details...suggestions are welcome: ...closer: AND The Graveyard with its new additions: Comments & critiques are, as always, most welcome. | |

| Thanks for the reply, Gatlag. Considering the amount of time I spend on it, I don't get nearly enough done. When I did D&D/fantasy cartoons/caricatures, there was always a beady eye staring out of a hole somewhere...I'm returning to my roots...I guess. | |

| With the completion of the first Mausoleum, it seemed like a few more TRULY MEDIOCRE photos were in order. SO: The Graveyard as it looks now...well actually as it looked a few minutes ago which is pretty close to now: The Mausoleum of Lamprey: The interior: Inside the Crypt: The second Mausoleum is finished & primed. When painted, I'll inflict further photos upon you. In the meantime, your comments would be appreciated...cherished. | |

The stones with eyes in particular. I've noticed your camera of contrariness isn't playing up so much anymore (good for us!).

| Thanks, Laney...glad you're still enjoying The Project. Getting to colors right is still a hit & mostly miss thing, but it's more a matter of lighting...of course, I still blame The Camera for EVERYTHING. | |
