Plodding Along on The Gaming Table, Part I: Updated: 06/05/116

It has been some time again, good to see you're still going strong!
Impressed by the height of that building, how tall is it?

Thanks for the kind reply, Gatlag. This one is just 14" tall. As such it will be one of the shorter tenements in the Blight.  

14" you say? Hmm then it must be your incredible photoskills that tricked me!

It was just the angle of the photo & dumb luck on my part...it does look like a towering structure.  

It's not much of an update, but I figured I may as well post something while The Camera is still with us. This is the face on the upper story door; she's was inspired by The Junk Lady from Labyrinth:



AND I started on the Twisted Tower of Rapunzel the Man Eater:



...this is the lower section. There will be a residence added to the top, the home of that EVIL Rapunzel.  

That twisted tower is looking very promising! Did you carve out the stones out of styrofoam?

Thanks, Gatlag. The tower is all carved up insulation foam with two wooden beads for eyes & green stuff eye lids.  

Some small progress on Rapunzel's Twisted Tower has been made & photographed for your entertainment & edification...or something like that. SO without further delay or warning:

There is still the matter of the roof, chimney with or without a stork's nest, & various & sundry details to be done, but this should give you some idea where I'm headed...just in case you want to get off here. The Tower will most likely be based as a side street off The Urban Blight, hence the photo of it by one of the other Blight Buildings...it gives you an idea of its height also.

Until the next update, your kind comments would be appreciated...for the most part.  

Well I have lots of photos of the small progress I've made. SO I'll let the photos do the talking:

Painting & some additional details (the braid is underway) will be next along with some work on the base...Rapunzel's Used Weapons & Armor Shop to be added. In the interim you could make an Old Man happy with a kind word or two.    

N.B.: the Pig has no significance, but I've always wanted to use it.

Thanks, Gatlag. I'm glad you like it. I'll be attaching the roof & doing the shingles next. Then on to the ground work & surrounding buildings...Rapunzel's Used Weapon & Armor Shop will be in the mix.

Thanks again, Gatlag. I picked up the Storks nesting habits from a friend a long time ago; this is the first time I tried it...not too bad I' say. I was thinking about picking up one of Crocodile Games Ibis Guys to make a Were Stork.  

SO now with the Spooks safely hidden behind bars & the roof complete, Evil Rapunzel's Twisted Tower is ready for some paint. AND you are due for some more photos courtesy of The Camera of Continuous Contrariness III:

There you go. Next time I update, The Tower should have some color to it possibly with the beginning of the surrounding buildings...or not.  

Would love to see some paint slapped on that tower, it's a great building already and it can only get better!

TADA! The First of Eleven suitably decrepit buildings is now all painted up with only some interior details to go. AND here's what it looks like:

Thanks, Gatlag! After staring at the damn thing for weeks, the actual painting was quick & enjoyable. Now I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of the Blight & the Tower.

There are also more scrolls, posters, & candle sconces done or on the way...that translates as MORE photos soon. In the interim, your ever appreciated kind comments would be welcome...kind of.  

Very nice to see some home interior in that already so cool building! I love the "slanted" bookcase

Thanks, Gatlag...glad you like it. I was surprised how easily the bookcase went together; it matches the portrait & window on that wall.  

SO...this is The Scroll from Hell!...well actually from the third floor library but from Hell! sounds more dramatic if somewhat less accurate. Be that as it may here he/she/whatever is:
