| Superb - the teddy bear idea is very cool - a greenstuff version would do the job perfectly. I may well steal this idea! And I mean soon - excellent cover opportunities. Laney | |

| That is what I meant by a 'smaller scale skeleton'... I was trying to be subtle, but I guess we are just a bunch of sickos! Thank The Emperor we all have children! | |

| heh when I mentioned small skeletons the wife went ballistic on me so the teddybear is an awsome suggestion. I'll just have to start with normal size skeletons. . . | |

| THAT is so cool!
I think is where all your techniques will shine! I suggest, painting the slide, swing and spinning wheel bright colors (as a normal playground) and then dust them over like you normally do (the gas station was awesome!)
I suggest that you think about rain. Imagine it is raining... Where the water would run? Where would it pool? That would tell you weathering and grass growth. Like at the bottom of the slide... no grass. Top of spining wheel, faded colors (sun and rain!) while the section of the bottom with some grass (puddles)
This is a cruel, sick and demoralizing project. I wish I could build one!!!!

| Quick update: Basecoated the lot, and waiting, impatiently, for the glue and paint to dry. The colours on the picture is a little off, but I think you get the general idea. | |

| One thing is for sure... Komfritten can make stuff REALLY quickly! And I don't mean make crappy terrain quickly (I could do THAT), but AWESOME terrain really quickly! Laney has a very different style of making terrain, but I think the years of experience show. Komfritten's terrain is SUPER playable (very hard to do) and it inspires stories right away. Just look at the Imperial Gas Station and stories about the place just flood in! How about the Communication Array? Even the freaking streets are awesome! This one (The Playground) took a simple comment and made it a reality. How I feel about Komfritten making terrain? Let me put it this way... LOTS of people always say 'how cool would be to make a 40k skirmish', talk about it and then do NOTHING... because it takes time and effort. When they see they are amazed we are brave (or stupid) enough to do something about the 'wish'. Komfritten's terrain shows me the infinite possibilities and inspires me to try (once I am physically able after I unpack!) THANKS Komfritten! You are an inspiration for all of us! Thanks for sharing you art, talent and skill with us. You represent the very BEST of the hobby and our little community! | |

| Thanks for the words - mean a lot! Im brought up, socially, not to praise either my own work or others, so the abundance of cheers and support found on this forum - overall(!) - is really amazing! Where I come from a mere "that's ok" is rather a "WOW! wtf! how incredible" I've been looking after our little baby-girl who decided to be sick, and that sleep is for someone else, so between naps I was able to start painting / brushing "The Playground". The ground work is somewhat done now, I'm working up the courage to follow the advices from you guys on weathering and bringing the piece to life. Here's some "panoramic" pics and some close ups (notice the sand bags on the com array - they are made of clay, and they went out better than I expected, and now I've got some ideas to make them better). But here goes: The chain linked fence need some boltgun metal and some rust to stand out, and then I'll work on some water effects and grass... | |

| Your town is looking AWESOME! So many little things... and all modular!
The fence looks fine... but only you (in person) can tell really what it needs. Careful not to over do it... it looks GREAT!
Novac is looking like there was a nuclear explosion 4 weeks ago 50 miles away. Dust settled... no life what so ever (no grass, no animals... no survivors!) I LOVE IT!!!

Cheers LGW | |
