| Although I LOVE the chainsword (to me it looks like someone made a metal chainsword just for your AWESOME model!), I have to agree (reluctantly) with dumdeedum... weapons are too clean. The Mask issue is resolved... BRILLIANTLY! I can live with this one (not that I have a choice) and the wounds are horrific (in a good Nurgle way!) Your abilities are magnificent! I would had never thought on the combination of colors like you did. THANK YOU for sharing! | |

| Don't worry! This is a WIP. I definitely will be adding more weathering and grime to the guns. And some gore. The gun needs the black painted on it still too. The base metal will be disgusting and dirty and rusted soon. | |

| Hahaa. Thanks guys. I haven't had a chance to do any painting the last two weeks. I am hoping to finish this model this weekend. Holidays, work, and some different challenges have eaten up my extra time and thought. I hope to have some finished pictures of the model finished this weekend. | |

| Ok, the renegade sergeant is finally complete. Life has been pretty busy and crazy the last few weeks so I have not spent much time painting. Here is the finished model at long last. His name is Jerry. He is much bigger than the other lads, even those with talent. He has some nasty scars from his days as a pit fighter slave touring the hives. He also has some cybernetic implants he received from his former master. His thick layer of subcutaneous fat and the gaze of Father Nurgle protect him from harm. His armour and weapons tell a story of a short and brutal career. Coming soon to a battlefield near you! As always, comments, criticisms, suggestions, and motivation are all welcomed. Hopefully this is the start of some regular completed models! | |

| The Big Ugly & his Short Diseased Amigo are EXCEPTIONALLY WELL DONE! They're BEAUTIFUL enough in their own fashion that I'm going to have to check out the rest of your thread...it's a tough job, but someone has to do it. | |

| Thanks DeafNala and Mordheimer. This model was a blast to build and paint.
Mord-The rust on the model itself was painted in the following manner: 1. Basecoat boltgun metal 2. Wash all over with Devlan Mud/Badab Black mix 3. Wash with watered down Tamiya Clear Orange/Badab Black wash 4. Add scratches with boltgun metal 5. Wash with watered down Tamiya Clear Orange/Badab Black wash 6. Add extra seeping and disgusting bits by adding some Tamiya Clear Orange in spots.
The rust on the base was painted by basing boltgun metal, washing badab black, and then stippling and drybrushing dark brown, bestial brown, and vomit brown.

| I have been awful at getting work done and finishing projects this month(s). I have made some progress though. Hopefully I can finish up these models this weekend... Nurgle Chaos Space Marine. Need to paint the brown rust still and many other details. The renegades I have finished painting already. If this squad gets any bigger I will need a bigger photobooth or somewhere else to photograph them. Work in progress on the apostate preacher. Need to airbrush some dirt on his robes and then finish highlighting some details. And paint the wood staff. I hate painting wood. Spotted: An Ogryn accompanies the renegades into battle. Basecoat is finished. Just have to highlight skin and detail all the armour. | |

| BY THE EMPEROR'S HOLY MOTHER!!!
That 'night vision' photo should be accompanied by SMELL-o-VISION... of me soiling my pants! The Mutant DOES look as big as an Ogryn... but your Ogryn looks as big as a small Titan!!!!
Thanks for sharing... WOW!

| I started work on a Renegade Psyker. A hired gun to add to my squad. Legs are from the Island of Blood Elf Sorcerer. Body is chaos sorcerer from the manticore. I think I might remove the chains and sculpt a tabard. I tried to use pinning to create the illusion that he is levitating or floating. A partially complete heavy weapon specialist with stubber. I know the gun is huge. | |

| Personally I like the chains, but I have no doubt the tabard will look great. The levitation affect is great too. It seems just right, he's just far enough up that I know he's levitating, but not so high that my eyes are drawn to see what's holding him up.
Don't worry about the huge gun, this is 40k even the lowly autopistols they sculpt on models would snap their wrists. Heavy bolter is a good basis. I bought a couple of big shootas to try and use for my heavy stubbers. We'll see how it works out.

| Do NOT mess with the Psyker... the model is PERFECT! Great levitation effect.
The gun is barely OK... you know that GW is trying to compensate for something small... possibly their new Codexes Play-Testing Team.

| Brilliant work - the Apostate is top notch, the psyker is a great use of pieces and the heavy stubber is a great fit for the squad. Right there, you have arguably my favourite Death Squad ever!
The look is so consistent and the quality is very very high! More please...

| Long time, no post. I am planning to paint a small squad of chaos cultists for a necromunda campaign. I have the Dark Vengeance cultists. Here is a test model I painted for them. This model is just painted to a low table top standard. I didn't do highlights on a lot of the areas. It was mostly an experiment to test out the colour scheme (which is most likely rejected). Black cloth, blue cloth, and yellow on the gun are all airbrushed. Spent about 1 hour on the model. The idea was to really just get it done and see how it looked. Some areas definitely need more depth and highlights. C'est la vie. I am planning instead to try the same models in a red/white/black word bearer colour scheme. | |

| Sometimes it's good to just try out a new color scheme. I completely went out of my "comfort zone" with these models and I must say I kinda like the results. Can't wait to see you "wordbearer" scheme on them! | |

| Like the scheme, though understand that it isn't what you'll be going with. Interested to see the word-bearer scheme... | |
