| Finally had some time to kick this thing of, so I started with the most fun and at the same time most irritating part of a new project: Bitz Browsing!
Fun because, browsing through my stuff always gives me great ideas and irritating because mostly I have a certain bit in mind so I keep on searching and searching for it, I can't seem to get any rest before I find it. And mostly I don't use it afterwards... After quite some time (approx 1,5 hour) I think I've found the right bitz for my Chaos Space Marine model which will lead my Chaos Cultist Squad. I'm planning to make him as much WYSIWYG as I can but since I don't have thought him out yet I guess I'll just see how he turns out. Any suggestions on outfitting him is welcome, the only thing I know is that he will be Undivided. But whether to use a bolter, plasma, sword or whatever I don't know yet. So please help me out! These are the bitz so far: I might dump some in the progress and get some new, but this way you have an idea of the initial setup. We see here: - front of a terminator torso - 2 x old chaos warrior arms - some marauder bitz, like a banner standard, a flail, a head, some skulls - chaos space marine backpacks - spikey bit from the chaos spikey bitz sprue I tried to do some cutting, but both of my thumbs are to sore. One still recovering of a horrible cheese slicer accident I had last weekend (I had to go to the first help deparment of the hospital for that) and the other just a regular cut from when I was preparing sushi... So new update soon I hope!

| Look's promising.
But are you going to use those old chaos warrior legs? If so I think he'll be a mighty short fella'...

| If your painting and modeling is as good as your graphic skills... this is going to be awesome! | |

| Model is nearing completion. Did some extensive cutting and sawing on him. Here a mockup of the inbetween shots and the model so far: Next up is finishing the base, do some touch up here and there on the model either by plastic bitz or green stuffing. | |

| Wow! Looking really good! Your photo layout really ties it together too.
I was pretty upset that I got a half dozen CSM with the dark vengence box, because this is the type of conversion I would really like to do.
keep up the good work -rhuntar

| Thanks rhuntar! If you're in for some conversion work I could trade you some old chaos warrior bitz if you're in need of some. | |

| Done with building the model, greenstuffed some and primed it: Not the best pics I know, but it was getting dark already and didn't have my daylight lamp at hand. | |

| Did some painting today. Also including my "favorite" part: painting eyes... Damn! I hate painting eyes! It's such a precision job and you can do it wrong so quickly and make the model look like a cross-eyed mongrol or an anime character. Plus the eyes on this f*cker were so freaking small you can hardly even see them! Now I'm wondering why I even did them... | |

| Gatlag - this is AMAZING. I wasn't too sure with the legs originally, but the greenstuff work has really pulled the model together. Genius my friend, genius!

| Thanks for the kind words guys! Here a workbench update: Wanted to paint much more, but I found out that half of the colors I needed was dried out... f*cking gw paints.... Did manage to do some work though including the power sword. Did use Laney's tutorial (thanks for that one) on that as I never had painted a power weapon before. Turned out pretty well imho. I'm thinking about switching my paints to paintdroppers because for a guy like me who doesn't paint that often anymore those gw paints really dry out way too fast. Anyone has experience with paintdroppers? I'm thinking about the vallejo ones. | |

| Managed to do the final bits today so he's finished! I'm not extremely happy witht the end result but since today was the last day before the deadline that I could work on it it'll have to do. Groupshot with his former battle brothers The background on this guy: After serving the good (or evil depending on which side you are) cause for quite some time, he actually can't recall for how long must be a side effect from all that travelling in and out of the eye, it was time that Caeston could join the desirable ranks of Chaos terminators. But before he could join them he had to prove his leadership. Wasn't being a veteran sergeant for several decades not proof enough he asked them. The silent reply said enough. He had to prove that he was able to forge a group of followers from scratch. Therefore he was sent to this small planet where the local government has decided to build a new weapon factory. After obtaining a worthy squad he would then be able to raid that same factory with them. Now he had landed on the planet and found him some worker crew that are willing to join them. He couldn't care less for those bastards, he doesn't even want to know their names. He'll stick to calling them "The NoNamed Bastards". | |

| Very nice. I really like the style of the painting. Reminds me of John Blanche's style a little bit. I really like that dirty white. Very nice job. A very nice contrast to the boys in red beside him. | |
