| Ok guys we need some kind of event or thing to keep us going and not slack off over the xmas period so I am wanting all you kit bashers to get your bitz box ready and make up some shizz. Rules: Buying extra Bitz: Simply use only what's in your BITZ box no quick order from Bitz-Barn or Ebay [Window-Box or Hoards Of Bitz] just use what you got lying around.
Entries: You can enter up to 3 minis in the Single Mini category, You can Enter up to 2 squads in the Squad Category You can Enter up to 1 battle/attack group in the Group Category.
Additional work: We don't just want a Kit bashed mini/squad/group we also want some paint slapped on it, and a brief blurb on who your mini is or the squad history or the background of your group. The written entries needs to be no more then 1,000 words. As Lady Grey has volunteered to judge that section and boy is she a tough nut when she comes to reading/editing a story. So make sure you use punctuation, And DO NOT change your point of view [eg 1st person, 3rd person, God View] mid story/scene. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. even I am scared of her when she edits my stories. 1st Category:Kit Bash Single Mini:as the title says you kit bash a mini together from your spare parts he could be for WH40k squad, Deathsquads, Warmachine... etc but it must be converted some how. [eg at least 25% conversion is the preferred amount, eg a Space Marine with bat wings, Lighting claws, or a Genesteller cultist that has a IG body with stealler limbs, etc etc] 2nd Category:Kit Bash a Squad: your the man or women of the hour your a kit bash guru and want to take to the edge buy bashing up a complete squad. the Squad must be a legal size.[eg a squad of 5 terminators for SM, a squad of 9 Cultists with a leader] 3rd Category: Kit bash an attack force of some kind:your heading into god style. and have take Kit bashing over the edge into new ground. a complete attacks force will have the following one HQ choice, one Troop choice, One Elite choice and Once Heavy Choice. if your doing WH40k then they must be legal units that can be used in any game. same goes for Warmachine, Hordes, Infinity, Dust, etc... The winner of each section will be given the amazing LGW certificate of achievement and crowned the Single , Squad or Attack force Kit basher winner. The Panel of judges [yet to be recruited] will decide on the top 5 entries and then everyone on here will vote to find the ultimate winner for each Category. The person who has the most votes in each section will be the winner. you can enter into all categories but the single mini can not be part of the squad section or army section, same goes with The Category 2. [so you will need three separate projects to enter all three.] If your interested in doing this please leave your details here and which category your entering. This is not like the Prisoner exchange where you give the mini away your keeping them but we will need photos of your project a list of items used. For example: Deamon Prince Vladur the Messiah of Nurgle. 1x Space Marine terminator body 1x Chaos terminator powerfist 1x Chaos spawn tentacle arm 1x Chaos spawn Nurgle head. 2x Nurgle shoulder pads. 1x Daemon Prince wings set 3x Nurglings so you get what I mean about your shopping list its so if some one wants to make one of these they can. Also for the judges to see how much Kit bashing you actually did.... The event starts 7th of December, and will go through until 7th of February [this will be reviewed closer to the date and extended if the general consensus is to do so.] when the judges will make their decisions and the voting will then start. any questions let me know but lets see how well you can do some good old KIT BASHING FUN!!!!! Cheers LGW Official Participants List: Single Mini Category Mudboy x2 Laney x3 Narcissus x1 Matt12z x1 Gatlag Stonetooth x1 horrid x1 Squad Category: Battle group Category:

| Interesting, very interesting - I'll see what my bits box throws up and get back to you.
Quick question - do you want the minimum 25% to come from an alternative pack e.g. using ork stormboyz to kitbash with an ork boy kit or must it come from an alternative product line e.g. ork boyz and chaos space marines (and does this include Fantasy e.g. using orc savage boy parts with orks?)?

| Same same. I will probably just enter the single miniature category. Is sculpting parts okay too or is it strictly/primarily kit bashing? | |

| Spoke with the Rules Guru aka the wife and she is happy with you doing that but no more then 25% of the model is to be sculpted.. for example I kit bashed a Slaanesh bloodbowl team using some female satyrs but I chopped off their more human features and replaced them with Beastmen heads and then used green stuff to enhance their chests.
it worked out quite nicely and looked very Slaanesh.

| But you will not need to order any bits - Lord GreyWolf wrote:

| Can I start early if I am feeling really ambitious? Can I enter more than one entry? Are we going to have a subforum for the challenge? It would be nice to have project logs like we had for the prisoner challenge.
My first entry will be a Word Bearers Terminator Lord.

My first entry will be a Word Bearers Terminator Lord. I would prefer you to start on 7th of December which technically be the 6th of December as I am a day ahead of you all. Not stopping you from prepping your bitz but not actual work till then. you could decide on colours, sort out some back ground on him but don't write it until after the 7th of December [eg when I say the event has started.] I'll try and set up a sub forum in the Greywolf Den as I only have Mod access in here and not in the painting section. And Since I am the brains behind this its only fair that it is in my Den. Are you wanting to do multiple Single kit bash entries? Well the Rule Guru [aka Lady Grey] has decided you can enter a maximum of 3 minis into the Single mini category. Considering if your doing more then that you should be entering the Squad Kit bash category. Cheers LGW

| I'm in officially - but I'll need to keep my own log till the opening date - there is no way I'll be able to hold off till then (I have selections of bits ready to go already!)!

| Sounds interesting.. I dont got that many pieces left from the different 40K sets I brought recently, only bits left, so great opportunity to use them Recently buildt a Chaos Aspering Champion from, SM scout legs + body, SM bike head, warhammer militia arms, chainsword + shotgun. Might post a picture of him here just for fun. One question: Do it have to be painted ?? Im not a good friend with my paint a the moment -Skavenslayer | |

eg: "LGW I would like to enter the Single mini Category"
or
"Lord GreyWolf put me down for the Squad Category"
So I know which section your entering also let me know how many times your entering in the Single and Squad sections.

| We can always just put a thread in here for each our minis so not a problem. First mini in progress (Ork Demolition Expert Hired Gun)! I'll take pics as I go and then post them up later. The mordheim mini will be something Empire (I have an army of bits sitting in my shed - given to me by a mate a while back). The Blood Bowl mini will either be a skaven, chaos or orc (probably beastman as that is a nicer conversion to do). Question: If I finish these early can I put in for a squad entry? Laney | |

| As long as you do don't start any of your kit bashing before the 7th of December.
if you think you will have your 3 minis completed [kit bashed and painted] then just say now your going to do a squad as well.
I have no probs with you adding in a squad choice at a later time.

| Upon looking through my bitz box, I will enter:
1 x Single miniature 1 x squad
When we start on the 7th, do you want seperate plogs, and do you need proof of date started?
