My first piece of terrain I have ever made, still kinda a wip i need to base it and do some landscaping but i haven't had time to cut down the big 4x8 sheet of masonite i have at work and get some felt to put on the bottom yet.
Next project is making a missle silo for the scenerio. I will be doing a tutorial on that one once i get one made. I think im using a pringles can as the base for it. does that sound about right for the size of blast template?

WOW!!! You have some talent man! That bunker rocks! Hehehe... bunker... rock... hehehe... bad pun! Can you remove the top when playing? It looks like it. The weathering effect is WONDERFUL! Not overly done... and that you can see the rebar? Genius! The fact that it has started to rust... WOW! Terrain that is functional for and for 40k... love it. Great job!
For the Missile Silo tutorial... GO FOR IT! I would be your 1st student! Pringles... yummy.
On Terrain Objective Sizes... You may have missed this on TLRB, but something we figure out is that Terrain Objective Missions could lend themselves for . Lets say that the Scenario Objective is to destroy two Missile Silos. You make one Silo the size of a CD Case which is 12" tall and another the size of a small coin (equally flat)... one of them you could see from space and the other one you would have to be standing in top of it. Not fair for the defender? Not fair for the attacker? You bet your duppa! How about if the objective is to defend two random buildings and one of them is a 15" cube hotel and the other one is 6" by 4" by 4" bunker?
So what we figured that by making a 'target zone' on the objective, we eliminate this possible unfairness. The rules say to place a Blast or Ordinance Template over the Objective representation, and this is the area that is 'vulnerable'... here is where you measure LoS as well as distance to shoot. It is fair for everyone!
Now, for your Missile Silo, I suggest you use a base the size of a Blast Template if the model will be smaller, so there are no questions on where the target zone is.

What would you say I should charge if I was to sell a set of say 2 bunkers together? Im thinking 40 for the 2 bunkers with bases all done up of course static grass and some barbed wire. Base would be masonite with felt on the bottom to avoid table scratching.

I'd buy both of those for 40 or even 50 (pounds, euros, dollars). Put in the base, especially if it's modular, and I'd easily pay 50 or 60.
Also, you and I are apparently clones. We should find the scientist responsible.

VERY NICE piece of work AND a clever/creative use of materials on hand. To get an idea what you should charge, check out CMoN's auctions...I'm always at a loss as to what I should ask for terrain pieces.

What size base would be decent u guys think round 12" base? or more like 14"? And 2nd question full cover of felt on the bottom or dots?
in comparison this bunker you have to build yourself and is similar in design to what I am selling is $24 bucks which leads me to believe that mine should be a bit more since it's done and looks better when done:)
If i would order a set of etched imperial eagles from forgeworld i could probably raise the price a little more to cover material cost and the addition would be nicer. Though i figure these will go out first then ill order them.
Ill post the auction as soon as the 2nd one is done so you guys can scoop em up if you want.

I give you a tip... start the auction at $30 with FREE Priority Mail shipping within USA. You can ship them BOTH in one box for ~$6... with Tracking. It would be the same as starting at $25 PLUS $5 shipping.
People will go berserk for them! Make sure to post on different forums (Death Squads, Dakka-Dakka, Bolt & Chainsword) so to spread the word. I will be watching... I may bid... I always wanted some nice bunkers!
