| The captain looks ace, a worthy leader - you can see the time invested in the paint work - especially the layers on the skin and the work in the scar. Plus your highlights are very sharp - shows the effort you've gone to. Time spent on painting almost always improves a model, either an extra colour layers, or fixing highlights, or using a wider palette, or layering/blending, doing that extra wash etc. I read about the Golden Demon Open Competition - the big one that the 'Eavy Metal team are allowed to enter. The guy who won (with an awesome NMM Blue Marneus Calgar), spent something like 3 months painting the model! Cheers Laney  | |
