Subject: Mordheimer's Prisoner Log - Updated 04/30/2012 DONE!!! Sat Jan 21, 2012 1:01 pm
Well... I think I AM excited about making a model for someone. All of you that know me are probably betting in a secret pool on how many days I will be late with my creation... or if I finish at all! You people are ruthless! I would be really angry, if it were not true. Damned reputation...
Well, I intend to share my experiences creating a Prisoner... and I guess the first is to auto-motivate myself to start! Then, is to choose a topic. Last year, I created Amparor AHH!!! That was a LOTS of firsts for me... 1st wooden structure, 1st verdigris patena (copper weathering), 1st humanoid GS sculpt (and a BUTT at that!), 1st brass plating. Amparor lives now in the UK... probably messing with Laney's models. That was really fun! Here are a couple of pics (more on the log HERE!) for you to see.
This time I feel more evil ( ) than playful... so I think I will go with a darker motive. Maybe a nice mutant for a Renegade Squad... or I may try my hand at a Corrupt Cherub (Hired Gun). Hmmm... evil tastes great today! I do want to put the Prisoner on a playable base (25mm), but then attach that to a 60mm base with a small diorama.
Any suggestions?

That gretchin is awesome. I can't believe I hadn't seen it. A corrupt cherub would be awesome. I have been wondering how to build one.

Yes... check Amparor's thread. You can get the background and all the little jokes on the model. The cool thing (for me) is that is a playable model... yes, a bobby trap!
I wonder if I can find models of child zombies?

Here is a funny cherub I saw using the nurgle lord model: link. Wyrd has a metal cherub you could use for the basis of a model too.

Wow...
That IS really inspirational! I mean, I could combine a Cherub with your Nurgle Ogryn! My mind has been blown...

The Amparor has pride of place in my display cabinet! (Well worth the wait!)
Dark and corrupted is a cool way to go, I was going to suggest the Toxic Girl miniature by Fatal Personality (but apparently it was a limited edition of 250 - why are so many cool models limited?). If a cherub is what you're thinking about, it needs to have enough painting are to make it interesting (you know scrolls and gubbins).
Coolminiornot also have a monkey with flamer that could make a cool cherub with wings added.
Cheers Laney:D

Hehehe... I wish someone would post a pic of that Monkey with a Flamer! Heheheh THANKS you too! I may get that model to make ME a Corrupt Cherub. I think is cool, but not cool enough to be a Prisoner. Too much monkey, not enough cute-baby-gone-bad.
The WINGS!!! Marvelous resource! I started checking Reaper when I found... http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/baby/sku-down/02983
I like the monkey (duh!) and Baby Cthulhu!!! What is not to love?
I found some lovely Cherubs... http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/baby/sku-down/02787
Maybe I could use them to start?
ALSO... making such a small model seems kindda unfair, So I may have to paint a Chaos Space Marine to make him company. The problem is that the 'star' would be the Chaos Space Marine, instead of the Corrupt Cherub. AGGGHHHHH!!!

Sorry for double posting...
I just got an idea. What if I make an INJURED Chaos Space Marine, inspired by...
I could put him on the diorama, then I could put the Corrupt Cherub 'guarding' him? Replace teddy bear for injured Chaos Space Marine... Baby Kade (Wyrd Miniatures) http://wyrd-games.net/shop/Baby-Kade-Woe.html
If the scale is correct, and the Cherub is 'evil' enough... it could work! I could add the right wings and maybe some Servo-Arms. What do you guys think?
Also these Bayou Gremlins are calling me too!

Bay Kade is a cool mini; Wyrd's minis are just slightly taller & slimmer than G.W., but not overly so. However, with B.K. I don't think that that would matter at all. I have 'Lil 'Hlu & Bobo, Bad Monkey kicking around somewhere if you want them.

Mordheimer-looks like you may end up with a small Malifaux force... Hahaha. They have some interesting miniatures for sure. Baby Kade would make a cool cherub. He already looks so evil.
I agree on adding a dead marine too. Much cooler than a living one.

DeafNala: I feel a few commissions coming!!! End of February (when I settle all my stuff) I will probably ask a commission for those two. The monkey, for me... I may ask you to make his hat a pirate one and add a little flint gun. I need to scan a drawing that my eldest girl (Valeria) did for me. The 'Lil 'Hlu would be a gift for her. I do not know why... but she loves Cthulhu?!? Well.. may be it has to do something related of me showing her...
Anyhow... I will let you know. And NO... no freebies! I want/need to pay for the model and your work! You can't be my favorite painted if you give me stuff. Remember, I still have Lulu (LINK) just as a loan. One day I will ship her back (unless I eat her... LINK scroll down!)
Narcissus: Man... only ONE model is a small force? CRAP! I need to learn how to play Malifaux! Ohhh... and my future Bayou Gobbos? Hmmm... I may send them to YOU as a commision. DAMN! See what happens when you get a job? You get a little money and then the plastic-crack addiction kicks in. I have not bought a SINGLE item since July 2011 as I knew I was going to need every penny for the move in Sept and my last paycheck was going to be in early October. I got a new job (YEAY!) a week ago and I'm already thinking on how to get back in the hobby. AGGGHHH!!!
I was thinking of getting Baby Kade and giving him a pot belly with some ulcers, inspired by your Ogryn (LINK) so I could make my Prisoner a Nurgle theme. The wounded CSM could be a follower of Papa Nurgle Nurgle? I don't know. Ideas?

I think its second time I see you call that model a Ogryn... Its a Renegard Sergant with the Unnatural Enhancement mutation.... Its not that I enjoy correcting you, its that I LOVE it

There is an ogryn in the works though! Hopefully I'll have finished pictures this week.
I think baby kade could make quite the diabolical ogryn. He is so little though that conversion work could be tough. Like an arm swap for a weapon would be awesome, but I don't know of any arms the right size. You could make his wings a little rocket pack, convert some bionics, and then have him perched over a mutilated marine he has killed.
I am a bit disgusted with myself for writing that. Very gory...

NHhehehe... I want to make a Corrupt Cherubim out of Baby Kade, but some of the conversions would be inspired by YOUR Renegade Sergeant (pot belly with ulcers) among some cyber implants and servo-arms.

Mord commissions are always welcome...from special friends, payments can often be postponed. The problem with commissions is they rarely, if ever, are of pieces I'd enjoy painting...did I mention I LOVE painting Wyrd (& weird) minis.
I spotted this inspirational poster & thought of you.

Well... I decided. A Corrupt Cherubim on a diorama it will be! I like Baby Kade as a base... I will need to buy some Wings (thanks for the link Deaf!) and some of the Servitor Arms that Laney shared (on the bitz thread). I will make some modifications to the Cherub (some cables and cybernetics) and... some 'skin'! GULP! I want my Cherub to be a 'present' from Nurgle! Some skin pustules will be in order. I also have to make a flying base for my Hired Gun.
The diorama will be a wounded Imperial Renegade Officer, in his dying breath, with the Cherub guarding him. So I have to make a Renegade first... AGGGGHHHH!!!! I will try to start this weekend.

Nice. This should be really cool. Very cool idea for the diorama. The bionic arms might be pretty big on baby kade. You could just mount a gun in place of an arm like Komfritten and I did with our servitors. You could also make the gun swivel mounted and attached to a backpack or something.
Really looking forward to seeing this.

VERY COOL IDEAS! When you have him all painted up & based, you should consider posting him over on the Wyrd Forum...that ought to send their Fan Boys off into a terminal case of the deep purple horrors.
